Dr Blandine French at University of Nottingham is a lived-experience senior research fellow at the University of Nottingham, specialising in attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). She recently approached us for brand copywriting and copyediting support.
She wanted a website where she could collate the results of various research projects. Blandine needed the copy to be accessible and easy to digest for non-academics, commissioners, charities, parents and healthcare professionals. We edited the copy for her, and after a very brief amends process, the website went live.
This was an eye-opening project to be involved in, not least when we learned more about the lack of ADHD training that GPs currently receive as part of their professional development.
To tackle this, Blandine and her team have developed research-led, 100% free online ADHD training that’s been accredited by the Royal College of General Practitioners. This training has such huge potential to change people’s lives for the better with earlier diagnoses and better access to care.
Check out her important research at NDLAB (where you’ll also find a link to the free online ADHD training for GPs and healthcare professionals).

Olivia was very understanding of my needs and was super efficient in editing the copy of my website. I wasn’t sure what exactly I needed but she was able to accurately reflect the message I was trying to deliver, in an accessible and understandable way. I work in Medicine and sometimes forget that not everybody understands my jargon but Olivia did an amazing job at explaining my work, research and ethos in a way I could have never done. I will definitely use her services again, thank you!”
