Emapsite: Copyediting an investors’ deck

June 28, 2023

We were recommended to Emapsite through a mutual contact on LinkedIn.

The stakes were high; a 40-slide investors’ deck had been prepared, that in the MD’s opinion (and that of their Corporate Finance Team) were not of a high enough standard to accurately reflect the quality of the company or the scale of the opportunity for the right buyer.

We had to work quickly, but in a matter of days and with some intense copyediting we were able to turn this document around and exceed their expectations.

In August 2023, it was announced that the successful £15.75m sale had gone through. Full details can be found at the official London Stock Exchange announcement.

10/10 – must use again – she’s in my A-list player book. Olivia was found as a LinkedIn recommendation. From cold she was on it with urgency and dived into the detail. She wanted time and space (which we didn’t have) so we did a quick version, and she delivered us, and our retained Corp Finance team, a great result. The brief was a super-confidential, £ multi-million investor document that needed a certain tone.

The raw material was 40+ slides of PowerPoint written by a committee and was all over the place. I was partly at fault for that, and what it needed was a sales-minded, clear thinker with great objectivity to make the message chime with the intent, the company tone of voice and to pop. Olivia managed the personalities and brought focus, charm, and urgency – I hope that this testimonial might help her win more of this Information Memorandum/Investor Pitch Deck type of work.
